Cat naps & bedtime

Is anyone else’s baby still cat napping? Baby is 5 months + and has had 3 x 30 min naps today like most days and I really really try to extend them but once she’s awake she’s awake 😵‍💫 she then proceeds to scream the house down every night because she is so overtired. She has been a screamer since she was around 2 weeks old and no matter what I do when I take her out of the bath she just screams blue murder for around 30 mins so there is never any baby massage, relaxation or books to be read to her 🫠😂 She has gone to sleep now at 630 as she just can not last till gone 7pm My first daughter never got this overtired in the evenings and just wondering is there an Age where it gets better at bedtimes 😂

Hands up here! Cat napped since she was 8 weeks old. We get 3 x 40 min naps a day. Knackered by 6pm and in bed and asleep by 6:30/7pm every night. My baby can literally do only one sleep cycle during the day with her naps. Yet at night… she can connect them. Apparently it’s more common than we think. My eldest is 6 and she slept like a dream, day and night. Hit a hurdle when she was 2.5 years old but mostly always slept amazing!!

My girl tends to go to bed between 6-7pm every night because of this exact reason. I’d love for it to be set at 7 every night because 6 just seems too early! This evening she went down at 10 past 6 🤦🏼‍♀️

My little one had 2 naps today totalling 45 mins. Tried to put him down bout 1615 for one more which he fell asleep on boob but then screamed when put him in cot. So in end I gave up.

We usually have 4 naps of 30ish minutes a day and bedtime anywhere between 7-9. Depending on how long he slept and when his last nap was. But omg, is it annoying with these catnaps 🙄🙄

We usually have 4 naps a day - if I left him to own devices/in next to me or pram he’d wake up after 30-45 mins. I’ve figured out as long as I can get one longer nap in through the day of an hour it works well for us. Could you add in an extra nap? Mine was exactly the same though - so sending hugs as I know those bedtimes are tough!

Struggling with this too! Usually we have a 30 min morning nap, then a lunchtime nap of about 45 mins and then another 30min nap around 3-4. This leads to a bedtime of around 5:30/6pm! Would love it to be at least 7 because then he might wake at 5am instead of 4am!! Today we had 3 20min naps… He crashed out at 5pm… Dreading it as I know he’s going to wake at about 3:30am tomorrow morning x

Can you extend the lunchtime time nap to 1.5 hours at least? I'm prepped and ready to intervene if my baby's starts stirring at the 30/40min mark to get him back off to sleep before he wakes too much. This should hopefully stop him being overtired later on.

@Lauren I do try and extend all the time but she just wakes up smiling like she’s had 2 hours and I always contact nap too 😂🙈
