Ankles Turning in/down

Posting on here but will be calling his Doctor in the morning to get an appointment(he’s also due for his 2 yr well child). Has anyone dealt with their toddlers ankles turning in/down when they are walking/running? My 2 yr old was born with abnormal pinky toes and we were told by 3 different doctors that it would not cause issues with walking but today while playing with him I noticed that his ankles kinda go in and he puts more weight on the inside of his foot. Right foot seems to be worse. Deff not normal. I tried to get a video but this kid is up and down so much it’s hard lol picture is of his toes.

I wonder if they have toe spacers in his size? I feel like that'll cause issues later on down the line.. I wonder why they told you it wouldn't...

Were the doctors pediatricians or podiatrists? I'd ask to be referred to a podiatrist if you haven't been.

I'd get a second opinion ASAP. Seeing a podiatrist would be a great place to start!

@Jessica 🌺🧚‍♀️ one doctor tried telling me they would straighten out the more he walks/stands..they have not…

I will be asking for that referral

maybe ask for a referral to a pediatric PT

He needs a pediatric podiatrist or even just a podiatrist that works with kids and people of all ages.

My son doesn’t have the abnormal toes and his feet do the same thing. I’ve been told multiple times not to worry about it, that he’s not pigeon toed, his hips will turn out etc. but so far I’ve not seen any improvement. Good news is I also haven’t noticed it getting any worse 🤷🏼‍♀️
