C section at City Hospital

Just had my date through for c section at city. Has anyone had one there recently? What is the visiting like? Are there set times for Dads? Can they stay overnight? Thanks☺️

Yes I had mine really early, and section isn’t until mid Jan. Dads come with you and stay as long as you want them to. They can stay over now, though mine won’t as he’ll be home with the other children x

I had one november was lovely and dad could stay by my side constant other visitors have times. Staff were amazing although very busy bless them x

I had my c section at city in March and Dads can stay with you throughout your whole stay. Cannot remember the visiting hours but they were great with us x

I had my C-section at city and everyone was amazing, I was supposed to be going in for a planned C-section on the 29th of June but I went into labour on the 28th so it was very rushed as I wasn’t allowed to naturally labour my daughter but everyone was unreal with me. My husband stayed with me, we ordered Pizza Hut to the ward and everything. They couldn’t of done more for us xx

I had mine June 20th 2024 dad was allowed to stay the entire time visiting was 10am till 6pm if I remember right but they weren’t very strict on that either the staff were amazing throughout the only bad thing I experienced was the midwife on nights that was allocated to me the night I had my c-section wasn’t very attentive and I was left in a bit of a mess but as soon as morning staff came on they cleaned me up, I’d say take snacks because the food ain’t great

Also my mum switched with my partner the night after and stayed the night with me and baby on the ward they had no issues with this x

I had mine in May & they allowed dad to stay entire time & overnight if he wanted to. Visiting was between 10-6 but only allowed 2 people in at a time (1 visitor & dad) or dad go out & 2 visitors x

Not a c section but was at city in august having my LO and dads were allowed to stay all night. They also have better chairs for them these days that recline into sleeping position (when I was there 5 years ago it was just a wooden chair for them to sit on all night 🤣).
