Natural FET: when to stop cyclogest

Hello, when did your clinic tell you to stop doing pessaries after a natural modified FET? I was only given cyclogest for the transfer and my clinic wants me to stop on test date even if I get a BFP. They said that there's no proof that progesterone is needed (unless there have been previous MCs) and that my body will be producing it anyway. What's your experience?

My clinic continues until 8w

My clinic also told me up to 8 weeks pregnant

I stopped at 10 weeks

My clinic said 12 weeks and the hospital said 16 weeks. I have had previous miscarriages but even before I did have them clinic always said 12 weeks. Don't understand after what you have gone through why are they leaving it to chance? You haven't had previous miscarriages but surely if there's no harm taking it as a preventative why would they be happy for you to stop and just wait and see if your body creates enough to support the pregnancy. I would push to stay on it as a preventative x

Thank you! They said that there's no scientific evidence that taking progesterone past implantation reduces chances of miscarriage (if anything it might delay the evidence that there's been one). I've been eating a bit about it and the previous NICE guidelines to 16 weeks for previous miscarriage has been changed. At 9 wks the placenta is producing its own. I trust the science but it's still terrifying to let go. They did say that I could continue taking it at my own expense "if it makes me feel better"
