Yes I get pain too, random sharp pains in my stomach and also that ‘butt lightning’ pain too. Some of it seems like ovulation pain but the rest is just random stabbing
Thank you both for responding. Does yours ease up with your period? I'm waiting for diagnosis, so I keep worrying about what's going on as the more I read it says about pain during the period but my pain is so bad from ovulation xx
Yes I absolutely did. This was the main symptom that made me start investigating things. The throbbing in my ovaries was keeping me awake at night from day 15 right through to 28.
@Suzie thank you Suzie. When did yours start to develop? Did you have any other symptoms? How are you getting on now? Cx
@Jen basically I had been on the pill since 15 then after having first baby I tried going hormone free (age 30). Within a couple of months this pelvic pain started along with severe cramps, nausea and ibs symptoms. It all went away when I got pregnant with second baby and came back 5 weeks after she was born (when she started sleeping through the night- which triggered the return of my cycle despite breastfeeding). I had the mirena fitted which has calmed the cramps and ibs symptoms but the pelvic pain is still an issue x
This sounds very similar to me. I was on the pill since around 17 and then came off it age 30 to have my first baby, I then had my second 21 months later. Since then I've been getting really bad periods and ibs symptoms. Then 2 months ago I developed the pelvic pain. Xx
I have it exactly like this, 8 surgeries later and I’m still struggling. Currently awaiting a hysterectomy x
