C-Section Incision Tips For an Overweight Mom

I’m an overweight woman and I just had my second C-Section days ago. I have an overhang and it’s covering my incision site. This makes it hard for my scar to air dry and this morning, it smelt off and had a bit of pus. Is there anyone that has gone through this and has any tips? I’m a bit worried.

I haven't had that but I am high risk of yeast rashes so I use zeasorb powder under my apron belly and over my scar and it helps to keep the area drier and it's technically for athletes foot so it fights the yeast that would give me an itchy smelly rash over my scar

I have an apron as well. When you are able to use a gentle soap several times a day, (Dove baby soap is what I used) and make sure you pat it dry with a clean towel or gauze if you have it. Sammi's suggestion will work well once your incision is healed. If you have it Neosporin or bacitracin or Aquafor will help keep it clean and heal.

Thank you both! I’d make sure to keep cleaning then. I was worried washing up was not going to help.
