Positive induction stories

Positive induction stories pls ? I’m a ftm and suffer from very bad anxiety already , I’d love to hear everyone’s positive induction stories as I will be finding out tmr when I’m getting induced . Bonus points if you also panicked every single day all day long only to find out it was indeed not as scary as you imagined . Also if you have any advice on ways to calm down during labor or things that helped ur anxiety or just advice pls add that in also .

It was not as scary. I was induced since I had twins. Received pitocin around noon, had my water broken around 6 due to baby A not staying on the monitor, epidural around 7:30, had baby A at 8:55 and baby B at 9:43. Tbh my contractions felt like mild period cramps until they broke my water then after like 40 minutes the pain started but they said my contractions were not dipping I was going from one to another with no break. With the epidural it felt someone poking me in the stomach. All in all very chill experience

i had a great induction experience! i was induced at 39+6 for medical reasons and the pessary was inserted at 10:30am when i was 1cm dilated. went home with cramps and then contractions started at about 4pm. they got intense around 9/10pm, and i got to hospital around 11:30pm and was 8cm dilated when i arrived. the rest is a bit of a blur as i was so in the zone, but i know my waters broke in their own at some point, and baby was born in 3 big pushes at 2:57am. i was really nervous and really hoped i'd go into labour spontaneously before needing to be induced, but i honestly had a magical experience. i used my hypnobirthing techniques and would really recommend that, even just learning the breathing would be so helpful if you havent got time to do a course/read a book. keep active, try to do things that relax you as much as possible, and if you can have an outpatient induction go for that if being in hospital stresses you out. best of luck xx

Mine was great. I was induced the day of my due date at midnight and she came out 11 hours later My cervix was already very soft so they skipped the balloon and i went straight to Pitocin. Everyone says the contractions are more intense with it but us as ftm dont kno the difference yet😅😅 i will say the process was a little slow. I had only moved 1cm in 4hrs. They broke my waters and the contractions came right away idk if you want to go natural but i had the epidural. After they gave me the drugs i slept through the rest of my labor. I was in and out of sleep while pushing 😭😭

mine was great!! i was terrified as this was my first baby, but i was so sick of being pregnant so i chose to be induced at 40 weeks. i went in at midnight, got induced at 4 am with pitocin, and then got my water broke at 9:30 am. the worst part was my ob breaking my water (ill be honest, it was super painful). after they broke my water they gave me pain meds and i got my epidural around noon. i was already 1-2 cm dilated going in to the hospital, but they broke my water when i was around 5-6 cm. i slept the majority of that time, other than them checking me for how far along i was. they had to position a peanut ball between my legs as i legit could not move my legs at all after the epidural. at 3:45 pm when they checked, they said i was at 9 cm and to be ready to push! i only pushed for around 20-25 minutes and my baby was here at 4:12 pm!! i tore, but i didnt feel them stitching me up or anything at all until the next day. im thankful for my easy birth!

To go off of Kaja getting your water broke was odd. It didn’t necessarily hurt to me but it was close to it. I also didn’t tear but my twin B scratched me on his way out but I didn’t feel the stitching either

I was induced at 39+2 and it was a great experience! I went in at about 9am and got checked in, settled in our room, and we talked with the nurse about our plans, preferences for the birth, questions we had, etc. She was really nice and happy to discuss everything and make sure we were comfortable and ready before we started. I talked with my doctor beforehand about wanting to avoid or minimize pitocin, so she broke my water at about 10am and gave me a very low dose of pitocin just to get things started. Contractions started within about half an hour and they took me off the pitocin once things were progressing well. I went unmedicated which my doctor and nurse were supportive of and the whole labor was really calm and peaceful. Baby was born at 1pm exactly after maybe 10-15 minutes of pushing. No tearing and I was up walking around with almost no pain a couple hours later. The whole induction took about 3 hours total from my water breaking to birth.

I loved my induction. It was so calm and it was nice being monitored the entire time and knowing what was going on. No rushing around trying to get to the hospital.

I had a good experience At 32 weeks my water broke pprom and was in for monitoring 2x a week Monday they said induction Tuesday at 9 am 36 weeks I was induced with gel at 4pm Dilated 2/3 cm at 10 pm waters broken and baby came naturally by 11:35 Baby is healthy 🫶🏻
