Mental health

I'm really struggling with mental health, everything is getting too much and got so much to do. I don't feel like I'm getting good support, I've reached out to some many people and they aren't helping me😔 any advice?

I'm really sorry that the people around you aren't being supportive. Have you told your midwife?

Sit down with a pen and paper - make lists and put them in priority order - take each item on the list a step at a time , I find having it all out of my head and on paper in front of me helps me organise my thoughts, I'm sorry you feel your not getting any support , here if u need a chat ! U got this girl x

@Katie yeah at my last appointment but I said I wasn't worried about my mood but the past week has just got worse x

@Caitlin it's also OK to not have motivation to do these things , this is hard and your mind is constantly thinking , just thinking about it all is exhausting , u will do it when your mind and body is ready don't rush yourself because u think it's what u " should" be doing , listen to your body and mind , and if its telling you " I don't want to be motivated today" don't be it will all come together ♥️

@Caitlin I was in this position a few weeks back and I felt like I was drowning and it's horrible and a very lonely feeling but you will get through the other side x

I find free writing really helps when I’m feeling overwhelmed and like I have no one to talk to. Get some paper and a pen (or type) and just write everything that comes into your head. Literally everything. Keep going until you’re done, or your hand hurts. It helps. You also don’t need to read back through it. You can shred it, bin it, burn it after you are done but it gets it out of your head!

Start with that @Caitlin it is all valid. Half the time I just start with how I’m feeling in that moment. Like i feel like crying and I don’t know why… it might take a while to get going to don’t be harsh on yourself ☺️
