Pressure in bum

Just had my first baby on Tuesday (vaginal with epidural). Ended up having a small episiotomy. My stitches are sensitive but I feel like I have huge discomfort in my backside!! Does anyone know when this will go? Midwife said it’s normal but it’s preventing me from freely moving around without feeling sore 🫣

Try taking some paracetamol and ibuprofen

Yes, I had the same! I’m 12 days post partum and it’s worn off a lot. I’d say it lasted about a week and although it’s not back to normal, it’s much more manageable

I had the same and I’m 13 days PP. Take paracetamol x2 + ibuprofen x1, that will take the edge off it. My midwife said it’s your perineum that is swollen that is causing it. I have also ordered some Epsom bath salts

Mine went around 2weeks pp but still get it now and then I’m currently 5 weeks pp now

Yessss I had vaginal birth and felt the exact same, im 16 days pp now and it’s pretty much completely gone but I’d say some point during second week I started to feel a lot better in the bum and didn’t have as much bother sitting in certain positions I did feel though when I was in labour as if my bum bones were snapping in two when I was pushing, even though they don’t come out that way 😂 so I’m not surprised there was residual pain there after. Definitely not the type of pain I expected !
