Leaking diapers

Hey all! My boy is almost a month old now and he sleeps in longer stretches at night. I have to change his diaper every two hours or he leaks everywhere. It’s messing up his and my sleep. Any tips on leaking diapers? We’ve tried sizing up and still leaking. Sometimes it leaks even before 2 hours. We also make sure his male body part is aiming down and not up but he still leaks somehow. Any tips would be appreciated, I’m tired of washing sheets and swaddles every day. Thank you! 🥺

We had to find another brand that fit our baby boy’s booty better! The best for us has been Huggies snuggles brand but every baby is different. We sized up to 1s and then we make sure it’s snug around his little thighs. Make sure - the back of the diaper is higher than the front and the back is NOT folded over at all. - the front top flaps are tucked all the way around the waist (these catch pee going up the sides or back even!) - fluff the side ruffles around the leg, outwards. This also catches pee and poo before it goes far. - the pee pee is pointed down. - make it a tiny bit tighter than what you think is tight. The snug fit stops leaking a bit better! We have reduced the leaks to maybe once every two days, so it’s not fool proof but it’s gotten better. Good luck mama!

I've had similar luck doing as Shaylee describes, too! We've used Pampers, Luvs, and Huggies (all gifted to us before baby was born, thank goodness, so we weren't sinking a ton into diapers), and Huggies Snugglers fit best.

I had major leaks with Honest diaper with my first as a newborn. I switched to pampers Pure and never had leaks again until recently. Tried Huggies but hated them and they gave my son a rash and had lots of leaks. But for some reason it seems Huggies either us the only thing that fits or it doesn’t fit at all. I think it’s good for babies with chunkier legs but idk. So far I’m using pampers pure and don’t have issues with leaks.
