@Tara my boob doesn't feel engorged or doesn't feel like milk is struggling to come out? Sorry to ask but what did it feel like for you? Did it go by itself? Xxx
I still have one and ive stopped breastfeeding. I had to rub it in a hot shower to burst it, but as painful as it is feeding is also a good way of getting rid of it.
@Jalpa Could it burst whilst I'm feeding my baby? What are/were your symptoms with it? 'Xxx
No neither did mine, you’re still getting milk out but you basically have a blocked duct at the tip of your nipple. I went to the doctors and they said to keep feeding. The baby is supposed to suck it out and it won’t harm them at all x
Oh and sorry I forgot to say, it was just really painful and tender. Hurt when I was just wearing a bra.
Yes it can I was told to keep feeding and the baby will pop it, like you a whole blister, extremely painfull even rubbing it in the shower was painful.
Thankyou both so so much for commenting!!! You've been so helpful, I've been so worried like if I fed her and it popped would I infect her or something... but my god it's so painful to feed, and happens to be the boob she prefers to feed off to so super painful. I went for a run today and wore a sports bra and it was agony! I completely sympathise with both of you, super painful! Thanks so so much for your supportive comments ❤️
You’re very welcome 🥰 mine was the same, it was my baby’s favourite boob and it was a killer! I realised mine was my pump having the wrong size so try and see if you can figure out what’s causing it so it doesn’t come back xx
I had one but I think I actually ended up popping it. It made feeding really sore but I used nipple shields and it really helped get through it then feeding just helped it go away
Thankyou so much 💓 💖
I’ve had one before! Only on the nipple, not around so I can’t really help with that. I found hot baths really helped and hand expressing whilst in the bath. You can still feed baby x
