No village around! Lonely motherhood

I am a mum of 5 year old girl with husband in military working away from home during the week... we have moved to live close to his family to have people around us, being part of family. With husbands a lot of siblings we hope to be part of the large group, unfortunately we are not considered being part of a team.. I am lonely, my daughter is lonely, missing her dad. We try to make friends and meet people but its always us trying to make an effort. I am raising my daughter on my own during the week, work from home so I really don't get human interaction. Is anyone in a similar position? How do you guys find happiness in your own company?

Hi! 👋 I’m similar (in that we moved over here for family who we never see). We’re lonely too. My daughter is 4.5. We’d love to meet up if you fancy it x x

I have a younger daughter (11 months) but would love to meet up. It’s hard having no family around x
