Hi ladies! I started desogestral a few weeks ago as a form of birth control after giving birth. I feel like I’ve been have major mood swings that have ranged from being super high and low. I was on this pill before we decided to get pregnant and it seemed ok for me. I’m worried if I switch to a different one it might give similar symptoms because hormone intake. I have an underlying anxiety disorder that I take a low dose of Sertraline for. Has anyone had issues with this pill, or tried any other options that seem ok? I will talk to my GP this week I just thought I would see if anyone has deal with anything similar.

@Anita i was on this and I was horrible 😭 my mood swings were not nice and the Dr's took me off it plus my blood pressure raised aswell. They reluctantly put me back on the combind pill. But I've had to stop that for health reasons.

I used to be on desogestrel for years before i came off it to try for a baby and i agree with you once i came off i felt so much better so when i went to the clinic after giving birth i chose the non hormonal coil and personally it agrees with me a lot better xx

I didn't get on with this pill had headaches mood swings the lot wasn't happy at all. That's when I decided to just come off it. I've heard the marina coil is meant to be good. Hope you find one that helps you 🙂 xxxx
