So update: i start the follistim tonight
1 injection a day at the moment?
@Caz yes follistim only once a day until my lab work on Sunday. Then I start menopur
Is Menopur the one that stops you from ovulating?
@Caz the menopur also helps with stimulating the follicles to grow. But the ganirelix i have to take is what will stop me from ovulating too soon
I took the follistim at 6pm and it wasnt bad at all. Glad I finally got that out the way so I know what to look forward to tomorrow and not be so nervous.
@Patrice hey! Just had my bassline scan & was showing approx 13 follicles each side :) start Gonal-F injection tomorrow! What did your scan show? Xx

Update: As for me, my estradiol level went from 11 to 174. So the meds are doing their job. Now, I am just awaiting the next steps from my nurse.

My nurse just reached out to me and i now have to take 150 units of follistim and 1 vial of menopur
Hi, I stared Menopur 3 days ago & it’s stopped my cycle/ period. Anyone else experience this?
@micky I think the medications do play a role into stopping your cycle to prepare for ovulation. The same happened to me when starting the follstim.
Thanks Patrice. I just feel so bloated too. More bloated after I eat. It’s an uncomfortable feeling!
@micky thats how I was feeling before egg retrieval. Im glad the bloating went away for me. Im hoping you get relief soon.
My cycle is due Thursday, so if thats on time I wont be far behind you 🙌🏼💗
