Pregnancy with IUD

Hello everyone :) I got pregnant while I had the IUD in. I tried to get it removed, but the doctor couldn’t get the attached strings. I was reading that if it stays in, you're more likely to have a miscarriage, or lose the pregnancy. Is here anyone with similar experiences or cases who could give me advice? I‘m very worried and I don’t know what’s best now. Thank you very much all

Did you see a gynaecologist / OB or was it a GP? If so I would definitely go and see a gynaecologist or OB who are trained in this area. good luck xx

I’d either get a second dr or gyno to try again or just go straight to emergency and explain that your GP tried but was unsuccessful and you thought it better to be in a hospital while trying again incase something goes wrong as you are pregnant.

I was in a gynaecology clinic, so they should be trained in this area. I‘m just still concerned if I should maybe get a second opinion on it. I was hoping to find someone here who got through pregnancy with an iud. They told me to let it in, but there is so much risk. Thank you all for your help 🙏
