Has anyone had granular tissue?
During my 6 week pp appointment today OB told me I developed granular tissue from my first degree tear. I definitely knew I would not be cleared today as I still felt pain and felt I was not healing fast :/ she did a treatment of silver nitrate. Has anyone else had that as well? And how long after did you feel fine?

Following! Went for my follow-up (at my 6-week, Dr said I hadn’t quite healed yet and to come back in 2 weeks) and that’s exactly what she found. Applied silver nitrate and I’m going back next week 😬
@Gina When did she apply it? Are you still feeling pain?

I’m 6wk PP and dealing with that too! It’s near where I urinate so I can understand the discomfort! Took me a bit to figure out how to pee without crying. Because of how wide my lacerations are they didn’t recommend silver nitrate as my first options. I’m using estrogen cream at night instead, it’s supposed to help bring blood circulation to the area and you lose a lot of estrogen post birth. So it can just take longer to heal! They said it could be a month or two longer of healing with that tissue. Since you got that top layer of tissue zapped off, should see progress much quicker!
