Anti-reflux aptamil formula

HELP!- does anyone have trouble with making anti-reflux formula everytime I make it it goes lumpy. I’ve changed the teat to fast flow. It gets stuck in the teat. I also do a hot shot first so it melts all the powder and then put the rest of the water in and still having trouble 😫anyone have any advice or recommendations what I can do.

We having the same problem but apparently it can happen from time to time as long as most of the milk has dissolved it should be okay x

We had the same issue, so we stopped using it as it was clogging up the test. No matter how many times we mixed We have switched to Aptamil Comfort and it’s been a game changer for our daughters reflux. She’d vomit at every feed previously but now it’s maybe once or twice in 24h 🙏🏻x

Hey mumma! It goes clumpy if the water is too hot. It shouldn’t be made with boiling water, so you’d need boil the water and cool it down abit first and then give it a good shake ☺️ I usually cool the hot shot slightly in the nuby rapid cool (ensuring it’s still yellow), add the hot shot to the bottle, shake as instructed on packet and it turns into a creamy consistency before cooling down the rest of the water to the right temperature, adding it to the bottle and swirling (hope this makes sense) It also gets stuck in the teat if the inside of the teat is still wet from sterilisation- so i always let the teat airdry first. It’s such a faff with anti reflux milk especially when you have a screaming baby! and then have to wait the dreaded 5 minutes for it to set 🥲

@Gunes wow! This makes so much sense! Thank you so much for that advice. I will definitely follow this and give it ago!

Thank you for the advice girls x

I found out that doing hot shot leaves lots of lumps. Leaving the water cool down worked for me.
