I love the IUD. Had it after my son 10 years ago. Got it out and got pregnant within a month and at my 6 week appointment I’m getting it again
I just got my first ever iud. I opt so go with the copper one as my body does not do well with hormones. Everything so far has been super easy with very mild cramps after insertion.

I had the IUD and got pregnant with my first. The only other BC I found that was effective is the Depo shot or the pill.
I got pregnant while taking the pill that I was getting from an online pharmacy, after my IUD got ripped out when I was taking out of tampon so I will say if you get an IUD just be careful because that does not feel good and it’s also very startling. To explain how that happened the string for my IUD got stuck in the tampon and when I pulled the tampon out, it pulled my IUD out had gotten stuck a couple times so I think it was loosened by that and it just came right out.
My plan is to have them give me the depo shot before leaving the hospital but at the end of the day it’s about what method is best for you
