🌟 Reflect on What You Can Release for Self-Care! 🌟
Have you ever felt like your schedule is overflowing with no room for self-care?
Or perhaps you’re carrying tension in your body, clenching your muscles without even realizing it?
This post is a gentle reminder to pause and reflect on what you can release. 🥳
When it comes to releasing and self-care, keep these two things in mind:
Releasing itself is self-care. Go ahead, take a moment to let go of any tension in your muscles and feel the difference it makes. 🌸
Clearing your calendar can create space for more self-care. What tasks or commitments could you let go of? Saying “no” can be empowering and gives you more room for what truly matters to you.
Sometimes our schedules fill up because we put others’ needs before our own.
These people-pleasing tendencies can add unnecessary weight to our lives, piling on the expectations of others.
I recently learned that there are three different types of people-pleasers, and understanding my type (an “over-giver”) gave me insights into how I can release some of the expectations I place on myself, freeing up my calendar and mental space.
When I polled the group, I found many of us identified as people-pleasers!
So perhaps learning which type you are might help you find areas where you can let go, too.
Our wonderful friend @Johanna has created a fantastic quiz to help uncover your own people-pleasing tendencies.
You can take that quiz here: https://www.johannalynn.ca/people-pleaser-quiz
Taking Johanna’s quiz was eye-opening, and I encourage you to give it a try if you also identify with being a people pleaser.
Let’s support each other on this journey of self-discovery and self-care.
