If he’s ready then I don’t see why not
It doesn’t have to be exactly 6 months. It can be 4+ months when baby shows signs they can safely eat
If you do start weaning, would suggest trying something like baby porridge or rusks with the baby milk, because it’s made with their baby milk is delicate to there stomach and a good start at getting them used to food x
The guidance is around 6 months, not 6 months on the dot. I’m wondering whether to start with my little girl as she seems ready (she’ll be 6 months on the 16th) Though just tried the NHS are they ready for weaning quiz and one of the questions was “does your baby spit out food” and how are you supposed to know.
I took the plunge and he was thrilled! Thank you for the advice girls ❤️
@Victoria you can try them on food and if they keep spitting it out and rejecting it, then wait a few days or weeks (whenever you feel is best for your baby) and try again! Loads of apps out there and websites to help you. Solid starts, NHS, Ella’s kitchen, loads of insta profiles, etc.
My son is 6 months on the 8th, and has been having purée pouches from 4.5 months, he was more than ready he’s an animal 😂 my first two boys were exactly the same x
Eeee I haven’t voted but I feel this post so much 🙈 My little girl is 6m on the 14th Nov and I’m sooo in two minds about it! Apparently 2 weeks before the calendar months is ok so I did try my LG with some veg from a stew on Thursday. I don’t think she actually ate any, more mushed it in her hands and did put some stuff in her mouth but it came back out! I might try some more bits in the next couple of weeks but if not I won’t sweat it! I’m sorry, I know that doesn’t answer your question.. maybe you could try a little bit and see how it goes and then decide from there? X
