Home birth
Hi! I’m 33 weeks and starting to reconsider home birth as for me and my partner it’s very difficult to get to the hospital in Ashford.
(My partner is disabled so can’t drive).
What do you think about home birth? How was your experience? Did heard lots of bad reviews of the hospitals around here that scared me… Need some advice xx🥹🫶🏼

EKHUFT has had bad press recently but it really is working hard to do better. My husband cant legally drive due to eyesight so my mum took us to QEQM. A girl I know had their baby at the William Harvey and said it was great. You can have a home birth if you want, they can be relaxing as long as nothing goes wrong.

I've just had my baby at QEQM last week and my care was amazing there. My labour was fast and my baby was rather large, so I ended up bleeding quite a lot and had to be rushed away to get the bleeding under control. I can't imagine what would have happened if I had to wait for the ambulance to be called and then taken to Ashford or margate.
