Dummy

My little one is 18 months now and I desperately need her to stop the dummy. The older she’s getting the more attached she’s getting. Would it be best to go completely cold Turkey or not? She’s started having such bad tantrums and gets really upset the only thing that will settle her is the dummy not even distraction will calm her down🤦🏽‍♀️ just here for some tips really TIA

I’m would go cold turkey, you’ll have probably 2 or 3 horrendous days and then it will be done!

Thank you I may start over the weekend with her 🤦🏽‍♀️🤞🏻🤞🏻

Maybe start by taking it out of her sight during the day, out of sight out of mind, then tackle the night time once she's fine in the day? If cold turkey doesn't work ofcourse because that would be best and done quicker

We decided this last week too. We allow it for naps/sleep only now I just battled through. Kept reminding him he had his comfort bunny and we only have dummy at sleep time. He leaves it in his bed now in a morning
