Please please help
I had my bloods done yesterday my hcg level is 9.5 I’m 8dpo I will have to go back to check in 48 hours but I’m in so much mystery could it be retained placenta I had to deliver a baby 5 weeks ago due to miscarriage or another pregnancy please help?

@Holly oh really The dr yesterday told me it should take 3 weeks for the test to come negative?
Took me 7 weeks to go completely to zero I had my misscarrige at 8-9 weeks pregnant,it depends what you had I had no intervention basically my body did it on its own it took a little longer,... if you had anything surgical it can take less time as they would of taken out some tissue it's kind of a guessing game ..
@Holly yeah I think it is from the previous pregnancy and I think I have same levels of hcg it’s neither going up nor down It’s so sad and frustrating 😣😭

Technically anything above 5 is a positive result,BUT I'd wait till you got the blood results first as it could be either of those ,5 weeks there could be some left over HCG ,it depends what week you lost baby anything above 24 weeks gestation ,it can take up to 3months for HCG to go down to zero, anything below 24 weeks it can take up to 3-8 weeks ,so i wouldn't be sure just yet x
