Gas & air, remifentanil and a spinal block. Remifentanil is great but so short acting. Spinal block was brilliant

Birthing comb, deep breathing, warm bath and then gas and air

I had a section but I also said yes to everything 😂 afterwards I was discharged with dihydrocodeine and it was magic stuff

Just be open minded, you may make a plan but change your mind during labour or your circumstances may change. I had an epidural with my first, it was the best decision for me at the time. With my second baby I had a water birth with no pain relief, just focusing on breathing techniques and squeezing a wooden comb.

I went in planning to take everything going, but had a very quick birth so there wasn’t time. I had back to back contractions too and couldn’t stay still long enough to be given anything even if there was. Definitely go in with an open mind and decide what’s best for you at the time.

I only had gas & air

@Jessica I want a water birth

First birth I had everything including epidural and it was a horrific experience. Second birth I had nothing and had her in the pool and it was incredible. Recovery was much easier second time around too x

I arrived too late (9cm) for anything more than gas and air. Get there asap and have an epidural 😂 that's my plan next time

I had a 10lb 4oz baby, I just used gas and air and it was the best experience! I wouldn’t change a thing about it

@Sophie would definitely recommend it if you can!
