I ended up in hospital the other week with what they thought was preterm labour but turned out to just be Braxton hicks for 4 hours 😅 mixture between period cramp at the base of the bump almost like really bad period cramp, pain in my back like contractions when I had my first and the tightening at the top of my bump. I had something something very similar when I was 38 week sketch my first but only had a few then it went away x
@Sam mine started off as a period like cramp at the bottom left side of my stomach then my belly kind of went tight on my right side next to my belly button and felt really hard but then that was it, it wasn’t painful but I also thought when I felt the tightening that I was unsure if it was baby’s position or him pushing against my stomach if that makes sense, I’m a first time mum so have nothing to compare it to!
@Katie I think I must have felt one / some then as mine started with a period cramp, but mine wasn’t painful just uncomfortable, took me by surprise as haven’t had any period cramps since April and had forgotten the feeling😂 i think I’ve had the feeling twice today, first one this morning then again about 5:30/6 when I was home from work xx
More than likely was, getting close now so bodies are gonna start doing some weird and wonderful things 😂I was told that if they start again just to take it easy and sit because me not stopping and continuing to faff about the house is why mine got to the stage they did 😂
Yes, I've been having Braxton Hicks since about 30 weeks, quite regularly some days. I never had them with my first until a lot later - they're way more noticeable this time. x
Yes second pregnancy and 30 weeks and I’m having them every evening and they’re actually quite uncomfortable. Going through to my bum too. Wake up and they’re gone
I’m not sure if what I’m experiencing is braxton hicks or baby positioning? It’s not painful but just feels tight in certain places but not all over. What does yours feel like?
