My son has started the whining phase as well, he'll be 16 months in a few days, and his whines are for any inconvenience to him lol, if his ball in his toy can't come out by him grabbing it, if I go into the bathroom, if I leave with his snack cup to refill it lol. I have noticed he is teething as well. I stopped his Ms.Rachel learning how time and just hot down on his level and gave him all the cuddles and playing he needed, and it was more than usual lol. He's never had any separation anxiety but I feel as though with the busy season starting and his teething it's a great mix for him to feel overwhelmed. Idk if it'll bring you any peace of mind to keep sane but all children whine and cry, it is normal behavior especially at this age. I have 18 years of child care experience, getting them outside or in water is the best almost immediate turn abouts to behavior changing to a positive experience🧡 and sometimes the child will cry and there's nothing you can do except comfort through the tears.
My daughter was whining for a couple weeks, and then her top two molars popped through. Maybe your baby is teething??
Are all her teeth in? My little guy just got his molars in and he was whining CONSTANTLY. It was driving me wild but he was uncomfortable
Mine as well!!! Our little one is also breaking two bottom back molars in
@Gavinga it definitely helps to know it’s normal! Yes, switching up the environment is helping a lot too.
@Dominique I haven’t even thought to look that far back lol she has 6 teeth and I think maybe her canines are working their way out slowly.
Mine too she is about to be 16 months, yesterday she was whining and crying all day. The only thing that got her to stop was going out for two hour long walks but inside the house refusing to be put down and I was literally a wreck with stress and exhaustion. Glad to know it’s not totally abnormal I was panicking because you can’t reason with them at this age so I thought something was wrong. Don’t know how to stay sane I don’t think I did to be honest I cried several times
