I did two or three rounds without success, but everyone is different. I know the success rates are generally lower with IUI, but there are a variety of factors that can impact one’s success. Who’s your insurance company? Wishing you luck!!!

I feel the same way, Meghan. I also heard the same as Lindsay that the success rate is lower than IUI. What insurance company do you have?
It did not work for me personally, but I have a coworker as does my husband who conceived via IUI
Thanks everyone! My insurance is MVP. I think it’s local to upstate NY. My husband works for the state and we’re thinking of switching to another insurance company that completely covers IVF and doesn’t require pre-authorization or iui. It’s just more expensive plan so he’s a little hesitant. I’m worried that I will go through 6 rounds of iui and still not get pregnant.
Hey! I attempted iui and when I went in for the insemination procedure doctor told me my husbands numbers were low post wash so we just did timed inter course that cycle before we did ivf. But my one close friend had a successful first iui. She has a 1 year old baby boy from the iui. Everyone’s different but we have seen lots of successful a iui when we would go online on different forums.
A friend of mine had success on their second time. It definitely seems like it requires a lot of time and patience, unfortunately. Wishing you luck!
