Potty training advice

Any one got any advice on getting my little girl to tell me she needs a wee instead of wetting herself then telling me? She was petrified of the potty and toilet to the point she would start screaming even mentioning the word she has done a number 2 in the potty any advice is welcome☺️

Maybe she isn’t ready? My little girl was similar, although she didn’t mind the potty. I stopped and restarted about a 1.5 month after and she got it straight away. We are now nearly 2 months in and barely any accidents and most dry at night

It sounds like she isn’t quite ready to me. My little boy does really well at home but not out, when he is busy doing something he doesn’t realise he’s doing it. HV came yesterday for his 30 month review and she said that is more than they expect at this age anyway. Just having a potty around and asking regular I’ve found is best x

I thought she was ready as every time I go to the toilet she’s like mam wee wee and when she’s in her nappy soon as she has a wee or a has a number 2 she tells me and wants her nappy changed so I thought that was a sign she was ready, I’ll give it a few weeks and start again☺️

When you go to the toilet, see if she will sit on the toilet. They learn through imitation so she is recognising what you’re doing, encourage her to copy. I’m just following my boys lead with it and giving lots of praise when he does something x

My little girl is exactly the same. Was absolutely petrified of the potty and when she saw her own poo is was like a monster had crawled out of her and said BOO! Complete meltdown. Health visitor said to stop potty training but continue talking about it and showing her, her poo and where it goes and try again in a few months. So I'm planning of trying again hopefully before Christmas. If not then in the new year. X
