Try using a combo of rosemary oil castor oil and coconut oil. Oil up your scalp and leave it for like a few hours and then wash it out. I leave it in overnight but some people don’t.
Take K vitamins
Have you had your iron and ferritin levels checked? It might be due to low iron, in which case taking iron supplements can help. I’m taking Thorne’s iron bisglycinate.
You can try any fenugreek capsules with some biotin supplements You can find them easily on Amazon
A friend with alopecia tried everything under the sun and in the end the best solution was red light therapy. She was severe/wore wigs but now has hair right down her back ♥️ I’m no expert and I’m sure ever case is different but I know how much of your identity is tied to our hair, sending so much love x
Have a look at Dr Aamna Adel on instagram. She is a consultant dermatologist specialising in skin and hair loss. She suffered hair loss herself and actually knows the scientific research associated with hair loss and discusses it. https://www.instagram.com/dermatologist_adel?igsh=MXEzNDhubGV2b2RoOQ==
As a side note have a look at ingredients on your shampoo/conditioner. I've got them without any silicone as my hair was falling out and getting thin. Since using products without the silicone my hair is slowly starting to come back and get a little bit thicker. Also iron levels can play factor, I have low iron throughout pregnancy so taking supplements to try and help that
Do NOT use any shampoos or conditioners that have sulfates or parabens in - they contribute to hair loss. Find a non-toxic pair! Also, make sure you’re eating the right foods to support hair growth! 🩷
I use rehab matcha oil - they come in little pods and they work wonders. I was receding really bad after having the kids and since taking them my hair has grown back so much
Minoxidil (get the men's version; cheaper and same thing as the women's) only if not pregnant or breastfeeding. Vitamins. Nizoral hair shampoo (put it on the scalp by parting the hair and then let it sit for 5 mins then rinse and follow up with your own shampoo). A dermatologist also said you can use a dermaroller on your scalp 2-3 x per week before applying minoxidil to your scalp for it to penetrate better. Eat healthy, drink water, sleep well. Get your thyroid checked as well.
Thank you everyone for the great advice- definitely going to look into some options xx
When I was pregnant, my hair grew a lot but after I lost a lot of it. I found some hair growing shampoo on amazon and it helped a lot. I will find out what it is called.
