Dummy

My nearly 5 month old has never taken to a dummy but she was quite unsettled because of teething the other day. I tried all sorts of dummies before this since she was born, but none were ones she would ever take. I forgot I had one dummy I didn’t try with her yet (can’t remember what kind or where from but I think it’s tommee tippee) and gave it to her and she’s taken it straight away like magic! Now, she’s EBF so I don’t know why but I’m so incredibly worried and constantly thinking about maybe I shouldn’t have given her it if she never took one, but she obviously needed something other than my breast as she was coming on and off when she was on it during times she wasn’t meant to feed. Do you think it’s ok I gave it to her? She seems to fall asleep for naps with it now (not all the time but it’s made it easier) and it soothes her sometimes now, in the car etc. but I’m SO worried about how this will affect my breastfeeding journey😭 PHOTO of my little squish in case I get lost🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Same as what hattie said that your breastfeeding journey is so well established now that there’s unlikely to be an issue. Also what does the tummy look like? I’m desperate for my baby to take a dummy as she’s super unsettled as well but she won’t take any I’ve tried

These are the only Ones my ebf baby takes as well - hasn’t affected our breastfeeding journey at all

We're EBF and baby doesn't accept a bottle but has a dummy since ages. No issues with feeding x Edit: he didn't take to the tommee tippee ones but straight away to the nuk flat ones

Until recently we EBF and he has a Bibs dummy We also recently introduced one bedtime bottle 3 weeks back and he’s still very happy with boob which he has for all other feeds Neither dummy or bottle have impacted breastfeeding in our case x
