Feels like I’ve wrote this myself! I had mine 4 weeks ago now and my little one was the exact same. When I got home she only wanted her dad. She came to visit me a couple times in hospital as mine was an emergency so was in for a while but she just wasn’t interested. She eventually come round to it and just realised she had to be gentle round me xx
@Alex I do use a pillow, she just doesn’t want to be with me🤣 she’s a big girl and very independent so she walks everywhere and does what she wants but purposely avoids me haha. We don’t contact nap either she will only go in her cot so it’s a struggle for me and her for me not to be doing it all xx
@Chelsea how are you recovering? Can you lift her now? I hope my little girl is the same.. just seen your little one is called Nevaeh..so is my little girl so it must be a Nevaeh thing!🤣xx
I can lift her now. But I’ve had an infection in one of my incisions so it took a little bit longer than is should have. But if you rest enough enough which is easier said than done you should feel back to normal within a couple of weeks. Apart from food🤮 I have no appetite still and when I do it turns my stomach 🙃
@Chelsea I feel the same! I have minimal pain now but food or eating makes me feel so sick! X
Ouch, poor you and wishing you a speedy recovery! How long were you in hospital? Could be she's picking up on your pain or she's afraid to hurt you. Maybe ask your mum to tone down the warning about your tummy and you can just strap a pillow around you so the impact isn't so bad if she does launch herself at you? It must be so hard but at the same time it's great you have your mum's help so you can recover and I'm sure in a month all will be back to normal. Babies memories don't even go back more than 3-4 weeks so she won't remember this period at all by new year. Can your mum bring her over to you to cuddle and contact nap (would be lying next to you until youre healed)? You can still do skin to skin even at this age (when you're more healed). Bathe together when healed. For contact naps after c section I just had my c shape pregnancy pillow on my lap and about 4 other pillows piled on top so he couldn't kick me. If your girl is not too heavy it should still kind of work for her to sleep horizontally
