@Aleisha thank you so much for your reply! I m sending you the best vibes, I know it’s very hard. I ll ask to be referred to a miscarriage clinic too. It’s just so draining as I feel I have been in this loop for 6 months now. I had a chemical pregnancy before my first and now this. When I had the first one back in July I was not too worried precisely because I know it happens more often than we’d think, but now another one immediately after, I am in shock… what are the odds?! I m so angry as they keep telling me all is fine (from what they see in the ultrasound, uterus ovaries etc even the c section scar they say is absolutely fine, I haven’t had any blood work done yet though)so I am like, if everything is fine why this is happening to me AGAIN?
So sorry for another loss 💔 when I had my MMC a friend reached out to me who had gone through multiple MC. She actually got tested for a condition called antiphospholipid syndrome which she thinks was the reason for her MC. She was given injections and has since had a baby x
@Jacelyn thank you! A friend of mine also told me this, I think she solved it by taking the aspirin if I m not mistaken… let’s hope they will make me do some tests as I really think something must be off for this to happen twice in a row :(
Definitely look into it ❤️ I just checked my messages with her she took 40mg clexane injections x
I'm sorry about your losses 😔 I had 2 very early losses and did a number of blood tests, all were cleared. It was until recently it was discovered I did have a 10mm polyp which got removed. However I'm quite sure it was bad luck with chromosomal abnormalities that led to the first two losses. Especially as we recently did PGT A testing and also 2 of our 3 embryos were genetically abnormal. I would recommend doing the panel of blood tests and scans on the days just after the period finishes. Don't give up! x
@Sabrina thank you so much Sabrina! Yes, I shall do that! Does the NHS cover this or you did it privately?
For the tests, I went to do these with HCA as they were covered by my private insurance. I don't think the GP covers all of the fertility tests, they may refer you to the gynaecology unit at NHS. I did also got a referral to the recurrent miscarriage center with NHS and the doctor was positive we would have success if we continued to try. I had a list of blood tests that Tommy's shared to me, I'll share the below, you could look into doing some of these. :)
If you have an appointment with the recurrent miscarriage center via NHS, they will likely ask you to do these tests first as that's what they told us, but because I got the list from Tommy's quite early and did these privately, by the time my visit with the NHS recurrent miscarriage center came around, all I had to do was take my blood results to them and ask them for their opinion. :) otherwise just waiting to be seen by them took a few months.
@Sabrina super helpful!! Thank you so much for sharing! I hope this helps other people in the same situation too 🤗❤️
@Sabrina ps: just saw one of the tests of for coeliac disease, I m coeliac and I m wondering if this might have to do with that 🤔
That's a good point to ask a consultation gynaecologist I think. My test for it didn't show up that I had it so nothing was discussed for it. But worth to find out :) Yes I hope the list is helpful to you, and helps others too!
@Sabrina thank you for the list, definitely helpful for when I finally get my referal appointment and can check they do these tests for me!
@Sabrina hey Sabrina! I have a question, the nhs referred me to the miscarriage unit for testing to start in February (currently I am spotting but I haven’t passed the sac yet, no heavy bleeding nor cramps) and in two weeks I will have the scan to see if all the tissue has passed. Since I will start to have blood tests etc through the NHS in February but I also have private insurance, I wanted to ask how soon after the miscarriage you were able to start the testing. Ideally I wouldn’t wait, if possible, until February. Thank you so much for all the info!!
I think I had concurrently replied to you on your post, just saw this. Hope that helps! I think you could maybe look to book in with the insurance for an appointment once you have finished your bleeding. I do agree it's best to do it ASAP. And if you get the private one done in good time, by the time you see the recurrent miscarriage clinic you can share these results with them so you have a second opinion. :)

My son will be two in January 2025 (he was born by caesarean) I've had two missed miscarriages this year, still under review for retained tissue from the most recent pregnancy. I've been booked an appointment for the recurrent miscarriage clinic, I was told they do lots of bloods & possibly a 3D ultrasound to see if there is anything that might be causing them. I too would love my child to have a sibling & want to get back to regular period cycles so I can start tracking. MMC can be such a long process & after two back to back I hate being in this limbo stage spending so much time away from my son for scans & treatment. I feel lost right now. Hope you have support at home & one day we get our rainbows xx
@Emma big hug for you Emma! Lots in common in our stories, we will have our rainbow baby ❤️💪🏼
So sorry you’re going through this, I’ve also had 2 missed miscarriages this past year and waiting on my rainbow - sadly it’s so much more common than I first thought😩 I have managed to be referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic (think I just was lucky to talk to a really understanding gp) Had lots of blood tests just through the doctors and nothing has been abnormal xx
