You need to 100% dedicate time to this. You can’t confuse them with sometimes they have a nappy on and sometimes they don’t (.ie sometimes it’s ok to wee/poo on the go and other times you must tell me and go potty) It’s totally confusing for them. Set up a little potty area with new toys, a potty book, stickers, toilet roll etc and let her explore it. Is she in nursery? Ours was very supportive. You have to be on the same page. Clear your diary for a few days and just dedicate it to potty training. Only use nappies overnight and for your lunchtime nap. Buy a travel potty and about 20 pairs of pants (a little too big so she can pull them down herself) Then just be at home and watch her like a hawk. Every 15 min ask if she needs a wee wee. Look for signs and patterns and if she starts to go grab the potty and put it underneath her - praise praise praise the drop you catch!!! They will 100% get it. My son has just turned two & we started about 4 weeks ago. He says poo poo coming..
@Eitvyde hmm disagree. You only start if you feel they are ready. Stopping and starting makes it so much harder second time round. If you have started you need to commit. Some kids just take longer - parents need to be ready to commit too as they are leading this process. The first week we were pooing on the floor 🤦🏻♀️ but by second week we were going on the potty
@Francesca I'm just saying what health visitor told me🙈
@Eitvyde unfortunately some of these “professionals” are clueless! My point being there is no set timeframe and you know your baby best.
@Francesca oh I know that🙈
Apparently you need to try for a week and if it doesn't work that means they not ready
