Didn't feel anything giving birth best thing ever
I’m ngl girl the epidural was like heaven compared to the contractions and after I got it I got the best sleep I got all 9 months😂😂
The epidural worked so good I didn’t even feel my babies head coming out the only complications I had was a little hemorrhoids after cause it takes more to push when you’re on the epidural but after a week I was okay and felt back to normal with no pain and I couldn’t pee by myself till the next morning cause I couldn’t work my bladder. I didn’t tear, nothing
I loved the epidural, I was in so much pain by 5cm. I did feel while giving birth and it definitely hurt but I can't imagine the pain not having it. The weirdest feeling was getting stitched up afterwards 😖
@Ryenne did you have a bad tear?
@Iris just a second degree tear. I think the pain was only so bad because they had to use forceps which is why is was a 2nd degree the doctor said. And the healing wasn't too bad, the worst part was feeling my stitches poking me or being itchy. I just used my peri bottle to help when that happened
It’s like pushing a big poop. I also had the epidural
I got the epidural, and I still felt pressure like the urge to push. It was intense, but I could breathe through it. I ended up needing forceps, so they topped up my epidural beforehand. I felt so out of it during the active labor. I'm not sure if it was just my bodies response to the pain or if I was tired/exhausted. I got a 3b tear.
I had an epidural and literally it was amazing! The only thing that hurt was the little pinch you feel when getting the lidocaine shot before the actual epidural otherwise I didnt feel a thing and i tore twice! It kinda sucks cause you cant move as much but i believe there are different levels or sedation so you can pick! The best advice i got was do what you feel is best for yourself no matter what anyone says!
Once you get that epidural you won’t feel a thing
It was amazing for me. I felt absolutely nothing not even them touching me
Didn’t feel a thing after I get epidural
i regret getting epidural very late ☹️ i was induced and the contractions were coming very slowly. but the dhit got real when they got extremely painful suddenly and i was crying like hell for epidural. when the nurse came and she saw in was 9.5 cm dilated😶 and she was shocked like how are you bearing this much pain
I didn’t feel any pain just pressure whenever the head was coming out!

It was amazing!! No pain, minimal tearing, got lots of rest.
Sometimes the epidural doesn’t work the first time around & could lead to a lifetime of back pain. As well as your baby is completely drugged for the next few days. The pain is intense but I feel like it’s just getting a really long tattoo, it’s tolerable just breathe through & tell yourself this is what you were made for. Good luck 🙏🏽💖
i didnt feel ANYTHING after the epidural
Your body is made for this. Just remember this.
I got my epidural at 7cm at 9am gave birth at 1pm didn’t feel anything
I got the epidural but my cervix wouldn’t push past 9cm for like 10 hours. I must have a high tolerance because the epidural wore off around hour 6. Even after a higher dosage and new epidural being put in, I could still feel every contraction and pretty much pushed naturally. So painful so definitely be familiar with what your body can and can’t take first!
Don’t worry! You don’t feel a thing with the epidural!! You got this!
@Brittany thank you 🩷
@Daniella this post was asking for advice from moms who have had the epidural- have you had it? did it fail you? that’s so scary!
I got an epidural very reluctantly as I had been in labour for 3 days and couldn't take it anymore. With the epidural I couldn't move my legs and couldn't feel anything at all. I ended up not being able to push baby out properly as was on my back and needed baby suctioned out and an episiotomy. My baby was very sleepy for the first 24 hours due to all the drugs and had bruising to her head. I wanted a unmedicated home birth but due to complications never got that. The risk of interventions increases with an epidural, I would have rather not had it.
In my experience, the epidural was fantastic. I didn’t feel anything while giving birth
