I’ve just left it alone to be honest
I suffered bad in the first trimester and first half of second trimester however I have PCOS so have suffered with it a lot of my life. Pre-pregnancy it would flare up when I was on my period so hormone related. I would leave it alone as you don’t want to be left with scarring (which I have) as it really does a number on your self esteem and affects your clothing choices xx
Make sure to shampoo and condition your hair forward rather than let it run down your back in the shower. Reduce layers when you’re sleeping. Make sure you wash your bedding every 3-4 days. One thing that’ll get rid of it, less stress.
@Megan I do wash my hair over the bath only because my eczema flares up on my arms from the soap. But thank you that’s a really helpful tip that people wouldn’t necessarily think about☺️ And thank you for the other tips☺️x
One thing I noticed, I get bacne from hot showers!! Took me years to realise. But now I can only have lukewarm showers or I get bacne everytime.
Panoxyl body wash & give the area as much air as possible- we get so sweaty during pregnancy & postpartum & the extra moisture can really contribute
@Lola ahh see I wouldn’t of thought that would’ve been a factor but I have baths as we don’t have a shower where we’re living currently 🙄
Oh, and it doesn’t have to be that brand specifically just any body wash with salicylic acid (some ppl like to avoid this one during pregnancy but ive heard different things from providers about its safety esp topically) or benzyl peroxide would be really helpful and if you get something with niacinamide or Aha might have better luck if you’re having issues with this discoloration from postacne inflammation
Bacne 🤣👍🏼❤️
