@Rhian yeah we still haven’t announced it to the world yet only to close friends and family as I had a MMC last year so know things can still go wrong I feel like they’re going to guess as soon as I’m back though
I was over 20weeks but the pupils had guessed by the time I announced it and I was sick of denying it
I'm currently 19 weeks but been signed off since 11 weeks. I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to go back or when I'll tell my primary class. I know lots of staff members have guessed I'm pregnant and the parents probably have too. Originally, I was planning on waiting until either as late as possible or when I could no longer hide it due to bump! If you want to not share it for a bit longer, could you use the fact it's getting colder and wear oversized jumpers etc to hide bump?
@Leah I’m an assistant principal so I can’t really get away with wearing oversized jumpers, I tend to wear dresses and a blazer but I’m not even sure any of my dresses fit atm! I need to try them on this weekend
@Beth I’m wondering if I can get away with waiting until after Christmas
Wear baggy jumpers it’s not long to Xmas break
Oh yeah, that's tricky. Would you feel anxious going back showing but just not saying anything until you're ready?
I’m 14 weeks and been signed off since I was 8/9 weeks. Not sure when I’ll be back but I’m assuming someone will have let slip to the students why I was off… if not I think I’ll just tell my form at least as I’m showing already.
I told my class at 12 weeks with my first (I was really sick). I’m pregnant again but I’m not telling them until after 20 weeks hopefully.
@Leah I think I’d probably be okay, thing is the kind of kids I teach will just ask me outright and I don’t feel like I can lie to them 🤦🏼♀️
I was 24 + weeks before I started telling students. I only told them at that point because it was coming up to the summer holidays. I've had a few losses, 1 late term, so wasn't telling anyone earlier than needed
