Breastfeeding toddler while pregnant

Hi everyone, I had a miscarriage in August around 6 weeks. I’m currently pregnant again at around 5 weeks. I’m still breastfeeding my toddler who’s almost two. We’ve cut down breastfeeding to around 5 times in 24 hours. Usually 3 times a day and 2 times at night. In petrified that I’m going to miscarry again and breastfeeding will be the cause. Anyone have any insight? I’ve called my doctor to get my levels checked but it’s been so hard to get ahold of them and get a doctor to get me in for blood testing. So frustrating.

Hi, when we were planning on doing FET for another baby (my little boy was an IVF baby as well), I was advised by my clinic that I need to stop breastfeeding him, as apparently it affects pregnancy in a negative way.. So I stopped breastfeeding when he was 13 months old before the FET..

@Maria my son is about to be 13 months old and I’m 13 weeks pregnant I was asked to stop whenever I could. I have stopped during the day, but sometimes still nurse twice at night. I have HG so I’m pretty concerned. How’d you wean your 13 month old?😭😭 we’ve been trying for over a week.

I did it by gradually reducing 1 feed per week, and he ended up weaning himself off (refused to nurse before sleeping one night, so I decided that was the perfect time to wean him off completely..) I had his Dad put him to sleep the first week, as he was always falling asleep while nursing, but didn't take to cow's milk.. You can try to introduce cow's milk instead of the night feed..
