@Rabia oh wow. What made you realise it was dairy allergy? Did you get testing? Or did you just try changing it & it got better? Did she have any other symptoms xx
I honestly had no idea so went to the docs and told them how it’s so hard to feed her. I also mentioned that I think she has a “tummy bug” as she’s either constipated or she is pooing every time she feeds and they told me to stop eating dairy for 6 weeks and she should stop pooing every feed. Slowly she stopped pooing and then I realised that she’s started accepting her milk also. Then fast forward a few months, I trialed dairy for a week to see if it really was a cows milk allergy and she had a feeding aversion again for a couple weeks. So I think she either doesn’t like the taste when I eat dairy or maybe it gives her a stomach ache or like tastes funny in her throat? Idk something she didn’t like when I ate dairy
Could you need to change teat size? My little one reduced his intake last week and I was very confused. Changed the teat size and he's drinking loads more again!
Try upping the teat before upping solids.
He’s already on size 3 teats @Jamie @YazmynJade
I had this exact same thing for months and it was the biggest stress of my life. It turns out she had a cows milk protein allergy so changing her formula and I stopped eating dairy (as breast feeding) is what finally made her start drinking her milk. It took about 6 weeks for her to start drinking as that’s how long it took for the dairy to get out my breast milk xx
