Breast sensitivity

I'm dealing with some serious breast pain and sensitivity since my milk came in this week (even clothes rubbing against the nipples hurt). Considering getting the haakaa ladybugs or a pair of silverettes. Does anyone have experience with these? Also any good nursing bra recommendations?

Are you in the first week of breastfeeding? I remember having the same issue. I couldn’t even dry my nipples with the towel after bath. It was so painful. But it will pass, hang in there, you’re doing great! I find that using nursing pads helped me with the pain in the first couple of weeks. And Dr. Jack Newman’s nipple cream saves my life. I still use it after each feeding and it’s almost 7 weeks now.

Yes, first week of breastfeeding. My milk only came in yesterday and it really is just so painful. Doesn't help that we're still working on getting a good latch.

I hear you! I’ve been there and understand the struggle. I thought I’d give up. Hang in there mama, it’s hard but after a couple of weeks, it will be better. The nipple cream really is a life saver so use it after each feed. I also recommend getting lactation consultant as soon as you can too so that you can ensure proper latch at the beginning. I got in a bit late and my one nipple got a crack the first week and it was really painful. It’s still there and just never gets a chance to heal :)

I remember these days. I LOVED my haaka. And I went to a lactation consultant and she was amazing.

Lactation consultant + mama earth nipple cream :) good luck!

Thank you ladies ❤️

I got Silverettes, and found them soothing when also using Lanolin 🙂. Don't worry, it will get better Mumma!
