Help! I'm in such a terrible mood today...

I feel anxious and unsettled and on the verge of tears the whole time, and SO short on patience I could snap somebody's head off any second - my husband, my daughter for chewing too loudly, any random stranger for any given reason. I don't know what's wrong with me!!!! Any ideas how to snap out of this? I truly feel awful and want to feel better for my own sake and everyone around me. I don't know exactly what has brought it on.

PPD sometimes shows up as post partum rage. Please chat with your doctor. It helped me. I also take some time to focus on myself, self care is super important. Lean on your village there is nothing wrong with taking a break. When my daughter was 3 months my hubby and I went to Cancun for 3 nights while baby stayed with her grandparents and it was the best thing for everyone.

Oh I maybe should have mentioned my daughter is 3 years old 😅 and it's literally just today... like extreme PMS or something, but I'm pregnant, so I guess I can put it down to pregnancy hormones! + life. Jussssst life. But no don't worry not PPD, I guess it's short term "snap out of it" tricks I need. Although yeah I'd take a trip to Cancun 😂 for 2 weeks. On my own.

I find mums that don’t get any breaks during the week will get much more emotional and moody on the weekends - I mean even here on peanut that proves true too because it seems to get fired up on Fridays and throughout the weekend there’s drama in here from overstimulated and overwhelmed mums. Learn to take half a day Sat or Friday night off doing your own thing, filling your own cup with whatever it is that makes you happy and you’ll come a more refreshed, happier person to be around. I went out last night, came home late, I did sleep in a lil this morning (but we all did 😂) and now I feel 1000% times better, ready for the week ahead. Take those breaks. Learn to recognise when you’re feeling that way and grab your keys and go. Hubby and the baby/kids will be okay without you for a couple hrs go have a coffee w a friend or do nails or massage or facial or just go watch a movie by yourself. Take care of your MH girl.
