Car seat straps!

My little girl is 2 and keeps taking her arms out of the straps when I’m driving no matter how tight I do them! She does it so she can lean forward and just be cheeky and knows she shouldn't! It was so scary the first time I saw it but it's become more regular. I’m following all the car seat safety guidelines I.e. no coats, but I’m just lost now! Any advice?

My little one was the same! They’re so smart! So I have the safety strap across the chest it stops him getting out x

If you post photos of her in the seat on the car seat safety uk group on here they will be able to tell you how to adjust the fit so that she can’t escape x

I have the chest strap similar to that recommended above for my son's pram. Have been using now for around 6 months as he was getting out of straps too. Haven't needed one for the car seat so far, but they are suitable for both 🙂

As Vicky said, if you post in that FB group they may be able to help get the best fit for your LO but I don't think they recommend those clips for the seat belt

We have the same issue 😫 it’s so stressful when driving. My understanding is chest straps aren’t recommended in the U.K. - Which said that it can put too much pressure over the soft abdomen of the child in a crash and car seat regulations mean the seat has to be released in one click (the one buckle button). I had been looking at them but won’t after reading advice on this. If anyone has any other solutions 🙏 our car seat fit is correct but he manages to wiggle arms out when having an absolute tantrum
