Restlessness

Anyone else still super restless? I had restless legs earlier in pregnancy but this is constant, much worse on a night. I’m SO tired so I sit on my birth ball to keep moving but then I get so tired I lay on the couch / go to bed and then I’m just twitching straight away again. It’s taking me 3+ hours to get to sleep on a night, using magnesium spray and I’ve now started to listening to meditations to help but it’s just so frustrating. Doesn’t matter how tired I am I just non stop twitch and can’t properly relax! 37+6 for reference

I don’t have any advice but me too, you’re not alone! It takes me hours to fall asleep and I don’t really get any good quality rest until about 6am-10am for some reason. It’s so hard but we’re nearly there 🫶

@Izzy oh thank you! I’m glad I’m not alone, just hadn’t seen anyone else mention it so was curious. True, alot of people say newborn tired is much easier to cope with than pregnancy tired and I feel like it makes sense! Not much longer to go though (hopefully! 🥲)

I didn’t even know restless leg was a thing until it started last week 😭 I’m literally thrashing my legs around in bed like a crazy person it’s the most frustrating thing!! I can totally imagine that newborn tired is easier - and if not easier then at least more fulfilling because we’ll be able to see their little faces ❤️

I have this too at the moment the random annoying flinching 😫 I slept better once my last baby was here compared to the sleep in the 3rd trimester it's ridiculous

I have had restless legs for weeks now, sometimes taking paracetamol helps before I go to sleep x

I’ve found having a bath before bed with epsom salts (it’s a form of magnesium) really helps me with restless legs
