30 weeks pregnant and had mine 3 weeks ago, zero regrets, I know how horrific RSV can be in newborns, so anything I can do to help protect my child, I'll 100% do it.
I will be getting the vaccine - or baby will. Either way my son had RSV when he was 4 months old and was hospitalized after getting critically ill. I’ll do anything possible to prevent it.
Iv been really on the fence because of how new the vaccine is and I like to have something with more information really before having it. But rsv is so awful for little ones I also scared about that x
I was so worried about getting it and so worried about not but since my baby will be born in the winter and RSV is so bad, the pros outweighed any worries I had. There’s loads of information about it on badger notes that’s worth reading before you make up your mind.
I chose not to have it. It’s YOUR choice. X
Thank you all girls . I’m sooooo on the fence , because of lack of time frame with it being so new , but also my neice was just hospitalised with it at 6 weeks old , she’s out now , but how scary. It’s a really tough choice to make 😫 I need to make a decision soon though. I deffo don’t want my baby to get poorly but also what does it do to them in the long term , without the research being there. V scared x
We chose not to! Same as Bryony said, it's your choice. I say do the research on the vaccines first and make your choices from there.
I was also on the fence with it being so new but also know how terrible RSV can be! :( i ended up doing some research and also asked my pharmacist (who I’ve known forever and trust) and he didn’t recommend it. He stated it was to new and there was not enough research to know if it had an impact on them somehow in the future. At the end of the day, follow your gut and do what you think is best for your own child 🫶🏼
@Haley this is very interesting. I decided not to have it in the end either. Wishing you a healthy and safe delivery x
My kiddo just got his on Monday since RSV is bad for infants and young children.
