Non-mum friends not understanding

I’m the first out of my friends to have a baby, and I’m finding it so difficult to talk about how I feel/the difficulties of early motherhood when they just don’t understand and give such crap advise. It’s not their fault, and i get that, because how are they to understand if they’ve never experienced it, but it’s so frustrating to try and talk about how you feel and be met with such out of touch replies. Grateful for all your lovely ladies on here who do understand, I am loving motherhood but it can get quite lonely and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels like this 🤍

If you're feeling lonely there's an October mums WhatsApp chat, I can see about getting you added? It's full of mums all different walks of life just supporting each other, no question is too daft 💖

@Jasmine please could I be added to this? 🫶🏼 x

Yep 100%. I barely talk to anyone without kids 🤣🤣🤣 Just can't stand it. Life is so different for us so nothing in common anymore sadly. I just talk to friends who got kids and made new friends here on Peanut 🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️

@Gabi I think that’s what I’m finding so sad though, i love my friends, Many of them we’ve been close friends for 10+ years and it’s so sad to no longer feel close to them or that they can understand me and my life.

It is sad indeed but what can we do? My sister is now like a stranger to me. It feels like there is a deep trench between the 2 of us as her life without children is extremely different than mine 🥴
