Struggling

Hi everyone Just posting as I feel so alone. Really struggling today. Low AMH but been trying conceive naturally before starting IVF (if they allow us to proceed). I’ve woken up with really bad period pains and just feel very emotional and on the verge of tears. It hasn’t helped that a friend has got pregnant within months of trying. I don’t know where to turn and finding infertility all consuming and is taking over my life. Feel like I don’t know where to turn. Thanks for reading.

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way 💔 I’ve been in the trenches for almost 4 years now. I also have Low AMH (0.7) as well as PCOS, blocked tubes, and suspected low egg quality. After 2 years TTC naturally (before diagnosed with all above) I moved on to IVF. I thought IVF would finally be the thing that worked for me and I’m well over a year into the process and still not pregnant. Just know all your feelings are valid. This is an emotional journey with no guaranteed success. And the emotions compound when others around us get pregnant so easily and quickly. If you ever want to vent, DM me. Or connect with me on Instagram @ inmyIVFera. You could also try finding a therapist and/or joining an infertility support group if you want more professional guidance. I’ve done 2 groups through Uniquely Knitted and it has helped a lot. 🫶

Have you done IUI?? Please Remeber low AMH does not mean poor quality eggs. It just means you have lesser time to conceive than most women. If you are still ovulating, you can get pregnant. I have lower AMH...try and keep your head up. I'm 36 been trying for a year now and will be doing IUI this cycle. Do not let this consume your life. My husband and I joke and say if it doesn't happen we will get another dog. With holidays coming up, try and cheer up with decorating, maybe doing some crafts...anything that makes you happy without thinking why it hasn't happened for you. I've had many friends that have fallen pregnant before me, time is in God's hands. I try to have the mindset that it will happen if it's meant to.

Thank you both for responding. I’ve been using ovulation tests and never get a peak unfortunately. I’m also turning 39 this month and feel time is running out. Consutlant have given us a 10% chance of success with IVF

I also have anovulatory cycles so I don’t ovulate naturally either. If you have the resources to give IUI or IVF a try, it could be helpful for you to learn more about your body to optimize your chances. Lots of luck!

Why haven't they suggested IUI?
