Positive experience- sex after baby

I just wanted to share a positive post regarding sex after baby because I’ve only seen negative ones on here and I was freaking out that everything would be horrible/painful/loose. I had sex with my spouse for the first time yesterday after baby. I waited the 6 weeks plus a few extra days. I had a 1st degree tear that was stitched up. My doctor said everything healed well. Sex felt exactly like it did for me before baby, no pain, sensation felt good, vagina was tight like before I gave birth. My partner told me everything felt like it did before baby and he would have had no idea I even had a baby. I just thought a positive experience should be shared because most of the posts on here gave me bad anxiety.

Yes it felt the same for me! We waited for like 5 weeks and 6 days or something like that because I felt ready and I had my husband check my stitches and he said they were dissolved (I barely had any to begin with) so we did it and just took it slow. I felt more tight and just a tad sore until we really got going and it felt like normal. My husband thought it felt the same for him too

So happy for you! Another positive experience - for me it was better than pre baby sex!! I had a 2nd degree tear that needed stitches. We waited 7 weeks. I had a little pain at first and now it’s better than ever.

I was so scared after my first because I had second degree tears in 3 locations. It was slightly uncomfortable in the first few seconds but was actually better than before lol after my second was amazing because I didn’t tear and was totally relaxed. Again better than before!

I waited just over 6 weeks, I'd only had a first degree tear as well. It felt very good but only slightly different. Husband was very pleased with it as well, he noticed no difference I followed doctor's advice and used a lot of KY Jelly

Thank you all for sharing, it's good to know there are positive experiences too. I'm pregnant with my first and have been starting to worry it will all be awful after. Glad to hear that's not true for everyone 🤞

I just got my all clear but have no idea how/when to do it when someone always has to watch the baby ? Lol am overthinking this ?? 🤣🤣
