Pre-making bottles

I'm thinking about pre-making bottles and storing them in the fridge for night feeds so I can just quickly warm one up when needed. Does anyone do this? If so, did you do it from birth? I'm just a bit worried as I've read bacteria can still grow even when bottles are stored in the fridge.

hi i did this with my first, we had bo issues as long as you use up within 24 hours. health visitors will tell you not to because of the bacteria but doctors say its fine with mine i did it from birth until he was 1

I take a flask upstairs with water and use a nuby rapid cool to make my night feeds so I don’t need to go downstairs and literally takes two seconds to make. Have you thought about getting one of them? Best buy I think.

If you can get one second hand would absolutely recommend the tomee tippee prep machine! Using it with my second and its a game changer x

I feel like it’s easier to boil kettle use my cooler then it is to warm one up to the temp for my baby girl

We make bottles with hot water, cool them and then put them in the fridge for the day. I don’t think official you should do it but our little boy is doing ok on it

Thank you all for the responses! I also thought about using a flask but wasn't sure if the hot water would be okay to use all night? And does the temperature of the water stay above the 70 degrees recommended for making bottles?

We use RTF and get the big bottles which are good for 24 hrs once open in the fridge. Make up bottles and pop them in fridge so I don't see why it would be different for powder. Have done this since birth but luckily baby takes her bottle straight from the fridge or room temp so don't need to warm it up. Might need to play around with timings to warm up from fridge temp as might take longer especially if baby is hungry at night

Me and my partner use a Sho Bottle to keep the hot water in for night feeds and going out and we tested the temperature and it stayed at the correct temperature for 12 hours xx

Don’t bother just use a flask and Nuby rapid cool with the hot shot method x

@Elena why not? I think it works wonders.

@Paige how long does it take you to heat it up? I can make a bottle with the rapid cool in 3 mins x

Ohhh I read that completely wrong🤦🏽‍♀️ I thought you meant don’t bother using it. Sorry been a long day got an extremely poorly baby and been up since half 4 with her and I can never nap after I’m awake
