I was going to ask the same question! My little boy seems to be falling asleep quite quickly with his feeds and I wondered if that’s because he was working too hard to get the formula out. My breast milk is thinner and he has no problems demolishing that with a size 0 teat, yet formula seems to be a drag for him!? Does your little one fall asleep with theirs?

@Zoe I’m thinking this too. Size 0 for BM and size 1 for formula. My son refluxes the BM so definitely don’t want to increase to size 0 but the formula he takes forever to drink. Not sure whether to take the plunge

I literally just started a size 1 mam teat for like, 1 in 4 feeds to see how he goes. He does tend to get hiccups about 5 mins after he finishes with the size 1, but he drinks the formula just fine, no spit up or tons just dribbling over his chin or anything. He's 4 weeks tomorrow.

I swapped over to size 1 when baby girl was a week old, as she was getting frustrated with size 0. You know your baby best and you’ll definitely see signs for when they’re ready to move up a teat size!

We moved up at around 2 weeks old. She was falling asleep on the bottle as it was so much effort to suck. We found the same with our little boy too.

@Zoe yes she also falls asleep and its taking her longer to finish the bottle recently

My girl is 3 weeks and has been on size 1 for the last week. She’s much better on them. The size 0 were too slow.

Thanks everyone! Going to try size 1 and see how it goes

My boys started taking FOREVER to take a bottle so I switched and they fed well again

We used size 1 from the get go
