Postpartum Periods

I am 7 weeks pp with twins and my period arrived yesterday. It is SO heavy! I am completely soaking through super plus tampon and sanitary towel about an hour! I can’t physically stay on top of it! I’m ruining so much underwear! I’m getting worried that the amount of blood I’m losing can’t be good. I am also having lots of clots, some really tiny but loads of them and others are quite a bit bigger, I can actual feel my body passing the clots and they are somehow managing to pass out through the tampon😅 any advice would be appreciated to know I’m not alone or if I should be seeking medical attention🥲

Usually the first period after having a baby is quite heavy however, it sounds like you are losing alot of blood, I would take photos of the clots coming out and seek medical attention to get their opinion and show them the photos.

I would seek some medical attention if I were you, especially if you’re bleeding through within the hour. Always best to be safe x

my first period after birth was really heavy. tons of clots too. if you’re worried enough then have it checked out, otherwise i’d just wait a day and see how it progresses. maybe try the super heavy flow pads

Because of the clots I would seek medical advice. Loosing a lot of blood after pregnancy it is normal. But the clots better to be checked

I wouldn’t use a tampon 🥺, postpartum periods are rough. I would get the little postpartum underwear things.

Been bleeding like that since I’ve weaned from breastfeeding. It’s awful. My GYN wasn’t concerned so I’m seeking another practice
