I’m still with my daughter’s father but even if we weren’t I’d still get him something. As it’s from her and not necessarily myself. If he didn’t do it back to me then that’s fine, I’ll be putting her first. It doesn’t need to be equal when it’s for your children and not yourself.
My separated partner and I will be gifting each other ‘from’ our daughter. I’ve got things like matching beanies for them both, some football socks as she goes to watch him etc all things that are kind of sentimental between the two of them and don’t just feel like buying my ex a present 😂
If you are in a good relationship and he's doing "his job" as a dad, and you want to get him something, I don't see any issue 🙂 You can get him a gift from your children. Just don't go over the top for size and price but it's a nice gesture. He will know it's from you anyways. 😄
Idk I find it abit weird depends if you recently split up and how you feel towards him cause ur child didn’t actually buy him anything , also depends if his with someone aswell cause it may come across a little disrespectful and saying it’s from the child when in reality you’ve gone and brought a gift for him is reality idk tho cause Father’s Day you would go and get him something from the child .. idk what ever feels right between u too do cause every mother and father relationship is different xx
I'd speak to him to make sure it's equal. If he's planning to get one for you from them then it makes sense to do the same. I imagine in years to come you'll want to do that but as they're so young this year you could definitely get away without doing it. They won't notice!
